1) You’re no longer disqualified after one false start. You must false start twice to be disqualified.

Competitors train too long and travel too far to be thrown out off a false start. It was depressing seeing what happened to hurdler Wilhem Belocian from France tonight.

2) Sprinter must be standing reasonably upright, and hasn’t officially crossed the line until both feet have have crossed the finish line.

USA’s Felix was robbed in her 2nd place finish to the runner from the Bahamas earlier tonight.

In slow motion, Felix’s first and second feet cross the line microseconds before either of the runner from the Bahamas feet crossed the finish line. It’s a foot race. Let’s be honest.
