Why Daniel Bryan Won’t Win WWE Title At WrestleMania XXX

It’s pro wrestling’s big week as WrestleMania XXX will air live on pay-per-view this coming Sunday. Daniel Bryan is one of the big stars and stories heading into the event. Bryan has had one of the most difficult roads to Mania since the days of Stone Cold Steve Austin, as it pertains to taking on corporate authority. Bryan defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship at Summerslam 2013, but it was short-lived when Triple H screwed him over, thus allowing Randy Orton to cash in the Money in the Bank title shot contract and win the belt. Wrestling fans only got further behind Bryan as ‘YES!’ chants grew and the ‘Yes Movement!’ started hijacking WWE’s programming with crowd chants.

Hope are high going into WrestleMania as Daniel Bryan can defeat Triple H and earn himself a spot in the WWE Championship later that same evening. I urge wrestling fans to ease their excitement and rest their expectations. WWE has a proven history of refusing to back Bryan as the lead horse. They understand that their WrestleMania pay-per-view must sell well in order to succeed financially. They clearly realize that fans may have boycotted the event altogether if Bryan wasn’t in the hunt for the title. That doesn’t exactly mean that they’ll go ahead and please the fan base by having him end Mania on top. It couldn’t be anything further than that. They’re selling hope. They’re banking off the desperation of WWE fans to buy WrestleMania hoping that he’ll win it. They want your money and you’re not going to get what you paid to see. I wouldn’t be shocked if Triple H walked out Champion when it’s all said and done. I truly believe the WWE are big enough jackasses to pull something like that off.
