It is that time of year again and it’s time to start filling out your brackets. I’m not exactly sure yet how I’m going to fill mine out. The #1 seeds are Florida, Virginia, Arizona and the undefeated Wichita State. The West looks like the strongest bracket. I am thinking about going with Florida all the way. Billy Donovan is overdue after his back to back titles with Noah all of those years ago. Syracuse and Kansas are in the same bracket as Florida, but the good news for them is that they’d only need to beat one of them. I picked Louisville last year and have had a fairly decent history of picking the champion in my lifetime, but this is a year where anyone could win. I could easily see a 2 or 3 seed running the bracket. The first two rounds always have the upsets and destroy my bracket yearly. Virginia looks like a good threat with a 16-2 ACC record but I think they could drop in the Elite Eight or Final Four. I think Arizona could move swiftly into to the Final Four but always be on alert for upsets. Wichita State has taken NCAA basketball by storm with a 34-0 Undefeated Record. I definitely see a lot of people taking them in their brackets, but I just don’t see them winning in the Final Four. They’ll also have to most certainly battle through Kentucky and Louisville in the Rounds of 32 and 16. They’d likely meet Duke or Michigan in the Elite Eight. Time will tell how they do but they’ll have a grueling road. It should be interesting and as always very exciting. I’ll post my bracket during the upcoming week.
