Aqib Talib To Broncos, Patriots May Pursue Revis

“A sourced informed of the deal tells NFL Media’s Albert Breer the Broncos have agreed to terms with former New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib on a six-year, $57 million contract with $26 million in guarantees. The agreement was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Broncos later confirmed the deal.

Breer now expects the Patriots to set their sights on Darrelle Revis, likely to be released by the Bucs on Wednesday.”

If you watched the 2014 AFC Championship between the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos, you may have already thought that Aqib Talib played for the Broncos. Talib was injured early into both the 2013 and 2014 AFC Championship for the Patriots. It’s no shock that the Patriots were not rushing out of the gate to pay him top dollar. A player cannot simply get hurt in the big game.. two years in a row. Furthermore stand on the sidelines of those games, displaying no signs of injury and watch as his team gets torn up by the Ravens and Broncos. It was so suspicious that even Captain Vince Wilfork (injured for this past season) began questioning Talib on the sidelines.

If you can’t play in the AFC Championship.. you’re not worth the money.

The latest rumors are the Patriots may now be targeting Darrelle Revis. He would be an interesting signing as it clearly was not working out for him in Tampa Bay.
